"A hip, young, and well-respected clinical law professor" -Lynn K & Kent H

We send praises of our dear friend Vanessa. We met in the early 1980's when we were students at NYU Law School and Vanessa was a hip, young and well respected clinical law professor. We admired her decision to help start CUNY Law School and then her incredible leadership on immigration and clinical law at Pace Law School. When we moved to Hastings-on-Hudson in 1998 we loved running into Vanessa and Steven in the Village. Vanessa was a progressive force in Village politics for all the right causes and we admired her energy and commitment including her recent examination of the flaws in electronic voting systems. Lynn served with Vanessa on Chief Judge Robert Katzmann's Study Group on immigration reform in the Second Circuit where Vanessa played an important role to improve access to justice for immigrants facing removal. A brilliant lawyer and a fierce advocate, Vanessa is also committed to her family and so proud of her children. Brava on a wonderful career that has influenced generations of new lawyers and for contributing so much to your community! We love and admire you Vanessa!
