Dear Vanessa,

I never thought this day would come! You worked so hard and have been such a passionate, dedicated, and caring advocate for our community, touching so many lives in a positive way.

You have been an instrumental person in my career and although we don’t speak often, when I find myself in a tough situation I ask myself, “What would Professor Merton do?” I still have fond memories of my time working alongside you and our IJC cohort at the JJLS offices and will forever cherish those memories.

You always pushed us to do our best and think critically of our cases. But you also had a soft side and always made sure to check in on us. You will be surely missed on campus but your legacy will live on forever.
