"A beacon of teaching the role of justice in our Law School" -Richard O

Vanessa has been a wonderful friend and colleague during my entire forty years at Pace. She has devoted her life to pursuing help for unrepresented immigrants and training our students and our students and graduates to do the same. Together they have obtained justice for thousands of immigrants and their families and will continue to do so for years to come. During my deanship at Pace she was instrumental in founding our Pace Women’s Justice Center and Practice Center, always a strong and effective champion of human rights. She was a beacon of teaching the role of justice in our Law School and in our lives. We will greatly miss her and be grateful for her contributions to our law school and to our lives.
