I know that we have only met via Zoom during my campus visit, but I feel that I have known you for years. You are legend in the field of immigrants' rights, ​admired by all, and routinely cited as one of the “grande dames” of the clinical teaching movement that has grown exponentially in the decades since you first took the stage. Coming to Pace to fill your shoes will be an impossible task—but one that I hope to do with honor and care. You have built such a formidable and compassionate program, one that has touched the lives of so many students and constituents alike. I will carry the torch as best as I can.
