Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement! For years, you have been a guiding light in immigration law - imparting your knowledge and inspiring countless students to pursue justice and equality.

I can’t imagine Pace without you. I’m sure the security officers will miss your incredible talent of turning any open space into a parking spot - a small but telling example of your resourcefulness and determination to make things happen.

One of your favorite expressions, “Our words are all we have,” has profoundly influenced us all. It reminds us of the power and responsibility we carry as advocates.

I will always appreciate you taking the time to help me overcome my fear of appearing in court by sharing a story of your own fear when you were a student and how your professor encouraged you to focus on your client's fear instead of your own. I cannot tell you how often I have reached for this advice when I felt intimidated or afraid to speak up in court.

Your insights and compassionate approach have left an indelible mark on all of us. You’ve educated and empowered us to use our words to advocate for a fairer world. Your legacy will continue through the many lives you’ve touched and the futures you’ve shaped.
